Google Calendar<\/strong> is a Google app<\/strong> available in Google Workspace<\/strong><\/a>, Gmail, and other Google applications<\/strong>. In this guide, you will learn about Google Calendar, how to create events in Google Calendar<\/strong>, and change access permission for events.<\/p>\n

Note: <\/strong>This is the functionality of the Google Workspace Calendar<\/strong>. Some functions are not available in the free version of Google Calendar<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Multiple Ways to access Google Calendar:<\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. Open Google Workspace, clicks on the app, and then click on the calendar.<\/li>\n
  2. Visit calendar.google.com<\/strong>, and it will open calendar<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  3. Using the calendar android app on your mobile if you have an android device.<\/li>\n
  4. Using the Calendar IOS app on your apple device.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Select the main menu icon to expand or collapse Google Calendar.<\/p>\n

    How to create an event in Google Calendar<\/strong><\/h2>\n

    Click on create, and click on the event.<\/p>\n

    It will open the event calendar window. write a title, and select the Date and time. Add guests whom you want to invite.<\/p>\n

    Add Google Meet<\/a> Video Conferencing<\/strong> if this event will be virtual.<\/p>\n

    Choose location if you want to place the event at a particular location.<\/p>\n

    write a description for the event. You can create a meeting note if you want to give particular instructions. Also, you can add attachments if you wish.<\/p>\n

    You can set multiple notification alerts to remind you of the events.<\/p>\n

    Another way to create an event with people:<\/strong><\/h3>\n

    In the “meet with<\/strong>” search bar, search for the people you want to invite to the event, add them, and press enter.<\/p>\n

    It will open the event window where you must add details and click save.<\/p>\n

    If you want to join with Google meet, then it’s okay. But if you do not wish to google meet video conferencing, click on the cross button right to the Google meet.<\/p>\n

    Types of Google Calendar<\/strong><\/h3>\n

    There are two types of calendars; One is my calendar, and the second is other calendars.<\/p>\n

    My Calendars: <\/strong>This list has your primary calendars like the ones you created and that are shared with you if you have permission to make changes and manage sharing for that calendar. It also contains the calendar that shows the event you have been invited to.<\/p>\n

    Other Calendars: <\/strong>This list contains your secondary calendars. The calendars you do not own are in this list, like those you have subscribed to or shared with you but do not have permission to make changes. It may be holiday calendars, sports calendars, etc.<\/p>\n

    Advanced Search Option<\/strong><\/p>\n

    You can select search to find about events with keywords, peoples or organizers, location, and date range.<\/p>\n

    The setting<\/strong> button contains the settings for your Google calendar.<\/p>\n

    The trash <\/strong>tab contains your deleted events.<\/p>\n

    You can choose event colors, text colors, and density in Density and Color<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    Using the Print <\/strong>tab, you can print your calendar.<\/p>\n

    By clicking on Get add-ons, <\/strong>you can add additional add-ons for advanced functionality.<\/p>\n
